• African-Americans covers history, heritage, emigration and issues. Offers a vast array of links to related genealogy and historical web sites. A must-visit site!
• AfriGeneas Database is the definitive surname registry for those with African or African-American ancestry. You can also add your surname to their database.
• Directory of Genealogists for Africa. A small list, but a good point of contact.
• Hayes family history page and also the convener of the computer interest group for the Genealogical Society of South Africa.
• Medical history and genealogy. The university studies Molly Hanley who traced her ancestry back to South Africa in 1688 and they have proved a vital link in a gene defect in many South Africans.

Australia

• Family History News is a Canadian genealogical newsletter. Visit their web site for sample copies, contests and more information on researching your Canadian roots.
• Gaspe Roots site covers English-speaking families of Bonaventure County, Quebec and across the Bay Chaleur in Gloucester and Restigouche counties. The families covered include Beebe, Boyd, Cooke, Chatterton, Day, Norton, Scott.
• Ingeneas Canadian passenger and Immigration lists excellent site for emigrants to Canada in the 18th and 19th centuries including almost 40,000 records online and the only place to find an electronic version of the National Archives of Canada.
• PEI Surnames
• Quebec: background info on how to search for your roots in Quebec, very old maps of sections of Quebec and a 515,000+ name searchable database.
• Quebec Family History Society is a bilingual site dedicated to helping those with Protestant/Anglican roots in Quebec.
• Quebec Family Association Society or Federation des familles souches quebecoises. This site is in French but it is an excellent resource.
• Quebec Genealogy/French Genealogy by Mireille Lagace. Links to genealogy organizations, families and history. This site has English and French genealogy links with an emphasis on french genealogy.

• Czech Republic Page has info, searches and a bookstore.
• Guide for Roots in Slovak and Czech Republics by John Hudick is a great resource site for anyone researching these areas.

England and Wales

• GenHelp is an over-the-phone helpline service plus index lookup service for the Public Records Office and related UK documents.
• Public Record Office (PRO) is your primary source for birth, marriage, death and adoption records. This resource is full of addresses, phone numbers, how-to's and basic info for England, Wales and the U.K.
• A Thousand Genealogy Links has links to over 500 surname searchable online databases covering Europe, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand with more than 3,000 links!
• UK and Ireland Home Page has info for those researching England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and other islands.

France

• Beauregard's Genealogy Page is an excellent place to start on your French/France ancestry. The abundance of information is available in both English and French. Thank you Denis for sharing this information with us!
• Le Centre Genealogique des Pyrenees Atlantiques (CGPA): With some English at this site, it concentrates of Rance genealogy, links to archives, the latest news on conferences and records available but specifically concentrates on Bearn and Pays Basque regions.
• Le Cercle d'Études Généalogiques et Héraldiques de L'Ile-de-France is a french language web site. It does offer valuable information for all those researching their french roots and family history.
• Patronymes or "Surnames." This French site has more than 480 families listed. They aren't all french names and include European, Scottish and British names that can also be found in North America.

Germany

• German Genealogy by Andreas Hanacek who does genealogy as a hobby but has a wealth of German resources.
• German Genealogycompiles everything you need to know for German research.

Ireland

• Irish Family History Foundation is the gateway to discovering all about your ancestry.
• National Archives of Ireland includes government papers, business records, Great Famine history and other items relating to Irish history and heritage.
